Reading through the post got me thinking...some oak cones sitting about doing nothing-popped them under the granite chopping board my dac and pre sit on within a cheapo ikea table. It sounds different, not night and day but noticeably changed-maybe the isolation side of things has some mileage for me!!!!

Tony, I don't really begin to understand why supports (of the hifi kind) make such a difference. I can spout about mechanical grounding and energy transfer with the best of them, however the route thats worked for me (the HRS system) makes no sense from a technical point of view,

What's the Ayre sitting on? when that pic was taken, the Ayre was on either Cerapuc or Cerabase from Finite elements, Now sitting on Harmonic Resolution coupling feet, however Im still using some of the Finite elemente feet for some of the equipment (Wilson processor for sub and for Sky box). They work well although possibly not as well as the Stillpoints equivalents.

MusicWorks/PEEK update:
The guys at AudioWorks have discovered that black PEEK is even more effective than the beige version. This isn't stuff of Peter Belt because I do believe that the black PEEK is made from a different compound.
The faithful are now upgrading to the black stuff and offloading the beige. Yours Truly has picked up some s/h beige PEEK screws and spars (the rods that hold the whole shebang together on which the equipment itself is mounted either upon sliding acrylic bars or the new laminated PEEK shelves, more on those later...) half-price with the promise that I can trade them in for the new black equivalents when I'm ready.
Changing acrylic screws amd spars has had quite a pronounced effect on dynamics, texture, soundstaging and bass drive. It basically has the total opposite effect of plugging a Sonos into your system.
The acrylic beams versus laminated PEEK shelves used in conjunction with PEEK cones that replace the feet on your equipment was an interesting comparison. The latter did not really bring better dynamics and soundstaging to the party but what it did do was really separate out individual voices and instruments and deliver individual vocal and instrumental textures better. If you like listening to the Eagles and their vocal harmonies you'll like them even more with this particular tweak.
If you hate the fucking Eagles man you'll probably hate them even more. Or maybe not!
I'm saving up for more PEEK stuff knowing that I can upgrade in bite-size chunks. This stuff gives more than 2% more musical enjoyment but how much more is for the individual to judge.
