Go on you know you want one... Been very impressed with Dogs Trust, currently on "Lost on found" on TV. They have a lot more about them than all the others so a good place to go looking.

This is where the plot thickens; there’s no dealer in Australia and tbh I just can’t afford them right now, what with the new cables and custom made hi fi rack incoming. Of course at a later date though, I’m sold on the benefits. I will swap some for the dog ,lol ,as our has died earlier this year after 11 years

Reginald is just over one year old now and has integrated into our lives amazingly. What I find ironic is that he’s never attacked another dog, but others seem to want to try their luck with him, especially the little yappy ones.

My brother has a mini Dachshund; got a right little attitude on him, but he’s great fun!
He’s also got the Rottweiler markings, would make for a great photo, him and mine together.

We would love to get a dog, and I am extremely fond of Labradors, but given we have 5 cats and a 7 month old son, I am not sure it would work unfortunately

Wouldn't like to bet on it though. One approach would be to try/foster an oldie from Dogs Trust. Think there's a centre out your way so you could look them over Benefits of an oldie : Can be left longer than puppies. Likely to be very laid back. Dogs Trust will help you choose. I'm very impressed with their selection procedures. Will be a while, hopefully but we will likely make the journey to one of their places for our next

We planned the timing carefully, so that Reggie would be 'old enough' when Archie came along and it's working out very well. I know your timing is different than ours, but dogs learn very quickly, if you train them, so don't let it put you off; we love having our dog about the house!

our rottie as big as he was he used to prance around the kids like a spring lamb never ever knocking her over once used to love her climbing over him when he was lying down, etc, labs tend to chew a lot of things around the house,a friends dog chewed through a copper pipe and chewed the carpet but they were stupid letting him get away with it.all you have to do is remember is,YOU are the leader of the pack not the dog,act stupid around a dog it will take liberty`s.would you let a child carry on doing something wrong without checking it.rotties are easy to train because they are intelligent breed of dog, that s not what you can say about a lot of the owners
