Hi everyone, just joined forum, long time fan of Stanley Beresford DAC's, just ordered the newest one.
All my music is on HTPC, running with Cyrus xp amp & Spendor S6e. Mainly listen to baroque, michael nyman pre 2000, ecm.
I much prefer small ensomble stuff

Hello and welcome to TAS. As others have said, the SEG is a bit special. Make sure to set it to Mode 4 (3 flashes of the LED) and then think about running it on battery. See our findings on that.

One of my favourites is 'A Baroque Festival' on Virgin Veritas label, period instruments and excellent choice of tracks. JS Bach: Brandonburg Concertos by Lind Consort - always come back to them. Rostropovitch for Cello Suites All solo piano by Angela Hewitt Keith Jarrett - Well Tempered Clavier (ECM) Just about all of Haydn - String Quartets by the angeles string quartet, or for a less sweet version Kodaly Quartet

There's Vivaldi, too. Not just The Four Seasons but the other concerti and the Gloria.
For Bach, as well as the Well Tempered Clavier there's the awesome Goldberg Variations.
