Well going back to my first post, just had my OPPO back from their service department. It’s worse than when I sent it disc tray now jammed open, but I think the courier may have dropped it.

From experience of 200+parcels a month, if you wish to have arrive in one piece either UPS or FED-EX DPD can be both good and bad, our driver is superb, but that is only one part of the delivery chain.
Mike Music kindly suggested a company he had used for many years and they have turned out to be rather good Cross flight though we do quite a volume business with them.

Good to hear you are using Crossflight happily. They bought the company we were very happy with and I was skeptical they would be as good - they turned out to be even better. Nice guys, straight and good prices too.

Ah yes, the company whose drivers all seem to be named 'George'. Our local driver is called Milcho and he thinks the signs all over the box saying "Fragile this way up" with the arrows and things actually mean "Hold on it's side and drop it". The driver also tried to get my wife to n examining the box, there is a dent and what appears to be a boot print OPPO Digital are being very helpful, because the tray is now jammed open, it won't fit in the box. They are sending an outsize box and packaging, for me to get it back to them. They are worried that if the gears are damaged, it may be un-repairable.

I've had two things repaired by Jez, good quick service and no fussing. Well I had a chat with him about Musical Fidelity P-140s, despite his reputation, self admitted, for poor service if he has a problem with the customer, as he is by all accounts the expert on these. His estimate was over twice what Fuselodge actually charged me for the job and with them I didn’t have to ship them. Also, they turned the job round in 48 hours.
