Hello Tom and welcome to TAS. I'm intrigued by your amplifier - are you using dual monoblock d'Agostinos? Which speaker cables? I ask because my experience of the d'Agostinos is very different from the Belles I'm using and I wonder how they fit with your Ushers? Nice speakers, by the way

Thank you all. Yes, I am using Dan d'Agostinos's progression mono block. You can see my current set up in the picture attached. www.dropbox.com/s/vcy3qjrw6kxfzl6/Bricasti_Dan_Usher.JPG?dl=0Most of the amps I used are US brands - Mark Levinson, Krell, Viola. I mainly listen to Jazz and pop, Usher BE-20 is the one that basically gives me what I want in Bass, especially. Compared to the Sonus Faber, ATC, Revel and many other speakers I used before, Usher is really an all rounder. I own the speakers for nearly two years. Still exploring to make it better. All my cables and interconnects are DIY by local shops using Monocrystalline copper. Compared to many brands I used, such as Siltech, Audioquest, Space & Time, Cardas, etc. They provide me what I want. I found the BE-20 doesn't like silver cables. Regarding Dan's new amp, it is more refined in highs and image resolution compared to his earlier Krell products.

Regarding Dan's new amp, it is more refined in highs and image resolution compared to his earlier Krell products. That answers my question. Some of the older Krells do lack resolution and fine detail. I did hear a big d'Agostino driving a JM Lab Grande Utopia and I didn't think it was a good match.

Can't agreed with you more. Amps and speakers and cables do need matching. Same impression of me on older Pass Labs amps. They sounded restrained on the higher end to me. Never heard of new models for years anyway. BTW, is there any easy way to add photos ? Tried to drop files but not working.

Have a look at the Welcome | How To section. Essentially, you need to host your photos somewhere and then use the Insert Image button to paste the photo link in.
Yes, another example of bad compatibility was Naim amplifiers driving another pair of Grande Utopia. Pretty poor sound, I thought.

We're currently asking members to participate in the next round of Album Choice, which runs fortnightly, so if you're interested in joining in and to sharing some discussion about an album of your choice, that would be great. If you feel like joining in, either let me know by PM or via the Album Choice discussion thread here.

Welcome Tom. That's a very impressive system you have, it must give you lots of pleasure. Yes, no bad at all; but still working on to make it better. I believe it's the target of us all.

Hi Tom I was under the impression Audio Enthusiast systems in China were made up of British Vintage Equipment [That is why there is not much left over here] or is that just a picture one paints?
