Hello Gents,
I have bought myself a rather beautiful Quad 306 power amp. The caps are quite old and will need replacing,Which would be best ones to go in? Also i would like to up Uf at the moment they are 4700uf as standard,what would be a good upgrade and a good make to replace them with? Thank you

I did one a couple years ago. I used Kendeil Caps.. I think i upped em to 6,800uF

Not much headroom on the 306 so you gotta be carefull with PSU Caps

The next think im gonna do is Either a Quad '405/2' or '306' With passive pre amp 306 very underrated amp,they actually nearer to 70 watts per channel and have absolutely no influence on the music being played. |

Not much headroom on the 306 so you gotta be carefull with PSU Caps Yeah think the ones in there are 40mm but i have seen a few with 50mm but about 2mm left to fit under lid |

Have you looked on the DADA website for their 306 upgrades?
Thet state: 4 x C 6800µF or 4700uF, 50V or 63V for C10 and C11

Hi, to be honest i haven't gone any further on with changing the Capacitors ive been enjoying these amps too much. But im very much interested Mundorf caps. Would anyone recommend those?

Ive tried all sorts of brands in PSU, cannot tell the difference between them. Used the Kendeils cos they were a good cheap brand.
