There are occasional threads where mains power is discussed, including but not limited to the installation of dedicated mains power, DIY projects including power supplies derived from the mains, and modifications to existing components or house wiring. In all cases you MUST SEEK EXPERT ADVICE FROM A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN (as defined by your country's local laws) BEFORE UNDERTAKING SUCH WORK. In particular, you must not tamper with existing house wiring, earthing arrangements or safety circuit breakers or fuses designed to protect the system from component failures.
If you do perform such work, you do so at your own risk and after acknowledging the risks as stated above. Additionally, you must not recommend in any post on this forum the modification or bypassing of such safety systems, for instance the removal of plug or equipment fuses. We reserve the right to remove such posts and give a stern warning to the offender.
This notice is made for the protection of all our members and constitutes fair warning.

In the area of installing and configuring transformers, conditioners or regenerated power systems, there are too many configurations of balanced/isolation transformer, regenerator, system wiring, house wiring and safety protection systems for The Audio Standard to be able to make any reliable and, more importantly, safe recommendations for these types of power accessory. We therefore make no recommendations and strongly urge you to seek qualified help before specifying and installing any such device in your hi-fi system.
