It depends on the way the internal wall is constructed. If it's dab and board it gets interesting. Yes, the plaster had to be replaced on there before, Chris, and it's definitely dab and board.

That does look pretty good, Paul. I think they do a 2 shelved version of it too.

No no, never, ever, I won't be turning the hifi (other than the turntable) either, Leo can just get used to leaving it be. Good call - my son got used to not touching the hifi from when he was a baby and we never had a single problem with it I'm glad to say. I never moved a thing. The deck was always well out of reach since it's perched on top of a six level rack!

Like the idea. How did you all manage ?
I have to do something with the odd visit from 2 yr old Aneira who can now reach door handles and open them.

I took an old knackered cot and connected the end pieces (legs sawn off) to one of the sides with hinges and built a folding baby proof fence which went in front of the sources and amps. When I needed to get to the system, I just folded it up and put it to one side.

I've recently consolidated my setup and have good condition surplus now if you decide to go this route. Forget the MDF board though, sounds shite. You need isolation like the Aptitlig board, my S1NX vibration platform or a granite block or your wall may dump all it's energy into your needle
