I think the best bet is a flowchart You'd best use Visio and not cheap software for this important functional development. All use cases, please, and don't forget to include an EMP strike.

No, look, you stand OUTSIDE the fire door and cook your dinner INSIDE the kitchen using implements through the letter box. That way, you stay safe. Ah, well, you see, it depends which side of the door I'm standing, and which side of the door the fire starts on. I think the best bet is a flowchart, and I'm pretty sure they won't fit a letterbox to my kitchen door, fireproof or otherwise.. And the various outcomes summarised in a pie chart (30 minutes at 170 ºC).

I was thinking about using a bubble chart, although stacked Venns are prettier.

Why do women post reviews about stuff they have bought for their husband or boyfriend but don't use themselves???
Amazon is littered with this kind of crap - 'Bought this whisky for hubby as Xmas present and now it's his favourite brand, he says it's very smooth' etc etc ad nauseam.

Amazon is littered with this kind of crap - 'Bought this whisky for hubby as Xmas present and now it's his favourite brand, he says it's very smooth' etc etc ad nauseam. The basic reason is pretty simple. As the person who purchased it, and therefore the account holder, the wife will be the one Amazon etc. email to ask for an opihion, they don't know who she gave it to. They are " validating" their excellent-if-accidental taste/choice/luck/whatever, and I generally ignore them. Would you ask a woman's opinion and expect her not to give it?

Don't ask me - I'm the wrong gender!

I wish Amazon had an algorithm that could filter out any review that has the word 'husband' in it. The world would be a better place.

I am often accused of being opinionated, but I keep claiming that I only offer an opinion on something I understand. Many times I will say "I don't know" but somehow this gets filtered out of the judgement against me

I am often accused of being opinionated, but I keep claiming that I only offer an opinion on something I understand.... Which is why I stay out of 99% of the hi-fi threads. I only say something when I think I might be able to help (or take the piss) rather than just to hear the sound (or see in print?) of my own voice.

Amazon, again. I'd already got some bits arriving on Wednesday, so obviously when I ordered something else I set it to arrive on Wdnesday also. Amazon tell me on Monday that it will arrive on tuesday. It was ony luck that I spotted it, and I immediately dived back in ans rearranged the delivery for Wednesday, as per my original order. Yup. It arrived today, Tuesday. FFS why offer the facility to select and alter delivery dates if youi're just going to ignorre it?

I've been lucky with rearranged deliveries so far. However, none of them have been from Amazon, who at least follow instructions and leave packages by the side door.

Seriously, Sainsbury's? That'll teach me to fancy burgers-in-buns for dinner this week. Well, I'm not slicing the bloody things up, so the burgers can go back too, and it looks like I'll be hitting the freezer.

A pet hate.
Going for a walk with the last song I heard, playing in my head.
I've just spent an hour replaying 'Billy, Don't be a Hero,' in my head. I know the lyrics too...

Yup I've had songs stick.in my head that I dint even like. 1 or 2 Adele songs were maddening even though I have nothing against her it's just that my brain picked my least favorite song of hers and figured why not spin it 87 times and see what happens.
I won't repeat it here because...well...you know.

I have go to music to put in place of the horror ear worms With me, if I get some horrible earworm that won't let go, I start singing Sultans of Swing in my head. I can still remember all the lyrics from when I used to sing(?) it with my old band. I don't do the lead breaks through. I was strictly rhythm on that number, I didn't want to make it cry or sing.

Sainsbury's - snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Email arrives to say they actually have EVERYTHING in my order. YAY! Some time later... Phone call from Sainsbury's informing that there's been a " major power outage" and that there would be no deliveries today. At my request they put all of my shopping back into my basket, and wished me well for my attempt to find another time slot this side of next year. Oh, and they would send me some " good will" as an apology. That'll be a £5.00 Sainsbury's voucher then, if I'm lucky. Dived onto the site, found onw open slot, for Tuesday night ( ) and grabbed it. Kept monitoring the site and a slot opened up for 10pm - 11pm tomorrow night. Swapped to that one. Kept monitoring the site and another slot opened between 4.30pm and 5.30pm tomorrow. Switched again and ordered a bottle of Tawny Port, and a bottle of Jurançon Sec to cheer myself up. It seems strange now, to look back to not that long ago, when the first thing on my Sainsbury's Christmas qrocery list was a case of Port.

Today juist keeps on getting better and better. The shelf which used to support my amp, CD player, DAC, and Streamer (that's just the "big" stuff) now does not support my amp... etc. and I am currently musicless. I will have to rebuild everything when I feel up to it. The only " positive" is that I've already got the wood for a new support shelf, and the means to make it more secure this time. It was a job I'd planned for some time in the future, , but it looks like I'm going to be forced into it sooner rather than later. I hadn't realised quite how much of a load was being supported. The amp and CD player alone weigh around 23.5 KG I may start my Christmas drinking tonigtht.

I will have to rebuild everything when I feel up to it. Make a start - you'll be pleased you did and will probably finish it early, too.
