I want a cheap Amp with a remote for the kitchen diner to sound as good or better than the Arcam Alpha I currently use.
The complete set up I got on Ebay was £110 before I replaced the Arcam CD player with the Pioneer PD-S703
The Pioneer was about £40 so I was thinking Amp around the same perhaps a Pioneer.....
System is currently the Pioneer CDP, Arcam Amp into TDL speakers.
Broadening the question what bargains are flying under the radar for everyone to build up a dead cheap, great sounding system ?

Do T Amps have a remote ? Can't see one mentioned. That's the mains reason for wanting to change. If it sounds better than the Arcam great. If considered opinion says it won't then no big reason to change even if it has a remote. I have seen some good old hifi separates being picked up for very little.

I'd say it's definitely worthwhile looking at Chinese amp-makers like Topping or SMSL

Thanks. I see the MUSE S7 even has a remote. T Amps is all new to me I want to be pretty sure it will beat the Arcam. Need at least 2 inputs as well, preferably 3. My intial thoughts were an old Pioneer as their CD players are so good and they have a passing connection with TAD
