No, leave the Chord alone as it has to dissipate heat.

What about a coaster or two placed strategically........

You can try it! I don't think a coaster will help, looking at the bulk of the amp, and I don't want to do anything to block rising air. The RDCs and removing the Integra legs have worked wonders. Have you done that yet? If not, you really need to!

Have RDC's under my Server and my valve amp. Makes a good improvement for both.
Thanks to Dave @ MCRU for the suggestion!

I have a set of four of these Maglev feet ordered, in order to try and find a permanent solution to the Technics bass feedback problem. The upside-down Techniboots are not holding up under the weight of the deck so I've temporarily switched to a set of AQ sorbothane feet. I hope the Chinese Maglev feet prove to be as interesting as they look.
Next up: I'm playing with fuses. I took the stock fuse out of the Coherent 6D power cable and put a Hi-Fi Tuning one in. Fascinating to hear the difference! I also have an Abbingdon Music Research silver fuse to try. The only problem is that the Furutech plug fuse is located such that the earth cable connection must be disconnected in order to reach it. What a pain!

Granite placemats tried Placed on P10, Pass and Pass PSU Subtle difference. Sound seems smoother and more joined up. Perhaps more detail and bass. Sally preferred without as it had more life. I think that life is jagged and more noise than signal Will try again soon once the granite has burned in Who did I get ?

Hah! I can't get a granite slab on my P10 - not enough headroom when it's on the RDC3s. On the Pass pre and PSU, and especially on the Ayre, they improve the sound by making it flow better. If I put one on the Chord, will I get burn-in?

My problem is mostly with the Isis
The lump on top doesn't help plus it contains the *top* loading CD
I might try it but doubt it will be practical
I will try one on the Chord for just one track and see what I hear

Try a coaster size on the door of the Isis once closed?

While I'm waiting for the maglev feet to arrive, I've had a very interesting time with mains fuses. The AMR Gold is the star of the show (see article), sounding very good in my Coherent 6D power cable feeding the system. I've ordered another 10 to replace all the other fuses in my system. Chipping away at tiny uplifts here, but hey the return on investment is still audible and well worthwhile. At this point, my system has never sounded this good.

Try a coaster size on the door of the Isis once closed? I will play around with the A4 size mats I have, one either side and/or on top to see if I can hear improvements. Be a pain if there is an improvement on the lid as there is at least a potential for it to slide off when the lid comes up. Next test is to compare coaster size to placemats ! We could get sectioned for this

Can you take the Furutech plugs apart easily enough ? DB put me off it when he said someone had broken one and that was easy to do, if I remember right

The Furutech plugs are a right bugger to work with and fuse access is next to impossible without detaching at least one of the cores, which is invariably thick and unbendy because that's what we go for. Then when you finally try and put it all back together again the plug cover doesn't want to fit and you end up stripping the threads in them. Need I say more? I will have five of them to do when the fuses arrive
