Anyone got one of these? I was wondering what kind of sound..
I never use Loudspeakers these days hence its pointless keeping my Amplifier really.. Im looking for a Headphone DAC unit that has two Toslinks [CD Player/MD Player] also USB for lossless files, looks like this is just the ticket.. Headphones are AKG K52 & K92.

I have the SEG Dac as a Dac I can't fault it and it's not bad at all as a headphone amp either. I would rather be more on the conservative side, i have been using my SEG as a headphone amp for a least a year so it can't be that bad. I have had to many out goings to be able to buy the Capella headphone amp.

The Caiman II which I use has a decent headphone amp and I understand the SEG is even better, so I think you'll be ok Andr'e  |

The SEG is the latest model. I listen to a Caiman-II at my PC and the headphone output is very good. The SEG is even better and that runs on my main system but I do very little headphone listening there. I would say it's a superb package of DAC, preamp and headphone output all in one. There are four decoding modes and mode 4 is outstanding.

I Just wanna build a no fuss headphone based digital system using the Sony CD Player for when i play a CD once in a blue moon, Matching Sony MD player for all my live recordings, a replacemnt for the HRT Streamer so i can use the laptop or Tablet in for my FLAC files.. This unit is perfect sit on top of the CD player. Not an Analogue interconnect in sight..
