Needing to replace my speaker cables I was running Belkin (now damaged) for the bass and some of Chris cable he recommended with cat 5 added for the main mid/treble driver. My biggest issue at present is I do not have a lot of space behind and if cables touch it adds distoration to the sound Any suggestions ?

For really cheap, I'd strip lighting twin-and-earth and twist the red/blacks together. For somewhat better, Maplin used to sell good quality Shark speaker cable.
I don't like Cat5 at all for audio applications.

I love having DSP With the new cables for bass I was using my sound lost a lost a lot of warmth and punch. Well a bit of sideway thinking by increasing the upper bass suddendly warmth and punch were back Thanks for the suggestions I been looking at the Deco site Brain linked into with the ebay listing and will go for a Atlas cable in the near future. decoaudio.com/deco_audio_loudspeaker_cables.htmlMartin I am not using the CAT cable on its own. I think they sound pretty good in something like the Fugel 3 speakers I will also try Speaker Enacom Audio Noise Eliminators to see if that will make a difference

I don't know if it would be of any interest but am probably going to move on my Talk 3 cable pretty soon - it's a 2.5m pair terminated with z-plugs ...
