The Ipad is useful but I think a Laptop would do better. Don't need new or great spec. Lenovo starts favourite. Need wireless interweb. Ability to link to external mouse, keyboard and screen/s Email and web browsing. XP window good. Cheap is good Can a laptop drive other stuff like Amazon firestick or other things ?

The price of laptops these days its not worth buying a 2nd hand one.. Those small HP Stream are less than £200

I wouldn't touch Lenovo. They have been caught putting spying programs and apps on their computers.

I always buy Lenovo. What software they come with is of no concern as we always put fresh installs on them. The build quality of ThinkPads is excellent.
A good domestic brand is Asus. Nice machines.

There's lots of choice out there, depends what you're looking to do with it, but I'd also recommend Asus.
