I've changed my score to a 4. Side 1, as it would have been on LP, is quite good. Side 2 is a waste of life. Forget the 3 added tracks on the CD - they're completely unnecessary. One of the tracks on Side 2 comes across as a hyperactive version of Supertramp for large sections. If only they were as good as Supertramp..... I'd expect any vinyl versions bought 2nd hand to be worn out on Side 1, and virtually unplayed on Side 2. It's half a decent album, and my score reflects that. I won't be too upset if I never hear any of it ever again

Well, I have listened to the album in its entirety. But I feel much better now that I have had a shower.
The first track - I recognise it, was it a second single? - represents everything that I detest about this type of music. The sort of music that gives keyboard players a bad name with its "I've got a button that makes a 'futuristic' beep-beep noise and I'm going to use it to punctuate every musical phrase I can" philosophy.
Awful. If I could give a negative score, I would.

There are some catchy songs there. Still getting through the whole album before voting.

Awful. If I could give a negative score, I would. Sorry, I didn't think of that. Next poll will include negative ratings if you REALLY want to slag my choices off! Although I would have thought that "1 Can't bear it" would have been adequate. Anyway, it was your idea! Interesting, the diversity of scores on this. I guess it's like any music; much jazz I would rate as -infinity if I could, whereas others would be in 7th heaven.

Tongue firmly in cheek Jerry! No, I'm glad you did choose this album and I've learnt something by listening to it. Thanks for doing it.

It doesn't look like you've voted though, Chris?

Perhaps a mod could add a -10000000000000000000000000000000000000000 option for Chris?

It doesn't look like you've voted though, Chris? Sorry, too traumatised. Done now.

I'm going to give it 5/10 because that's what it is - a fun listen.
Thanks, Jerry!

5/10 from me.
Worth a listen and an education for sure. Way better than I guessed it would be.

I really enjoyed this, thanks Jerry! Will be a good addition to my 80’s collection …
Haven’t heard ‘The Plastic Age’ for 30 years or so - superb track. Never heard the full album and very pleasantly surprised as wasn’t a big fan of ‘Video killed …'
7/10, was veering to an 8 - look forward to hearing this on the main system some time to really appreciate the quality of production.

Well done, Jules! You are clearly a man of taste and discernment. But the main system has to be the only way. This is serious audiophile sq territory! Prepare to 'up' your score. You know, Martin is right - you need to connect Spotify up to your big rig!

Raspberry Pi into your DAC is very inexpensive and works extremely well.

Must have been a few singles off this album as I've heard some of them , Elstree is very familiar . Not fond of this sort of 80's stuff even Depeche Mode , the album was okay but just to Synth poppy , however I do love Video.. , its a golden classic so I'll give the album 6/10.

I've listened again and maybe I was a tad harsh, it is a fun listen so I think I will upgrade to a 5/10.
