I'm looking forward to listening to my hifi today it's been too warm to run a valve amp while we had the warm spell on and I live by the sea. Anyone else been doing the same Thank god for headphones

I have been using valves all summer but shall be swapping back to my transistor set up shortly (nothing to do with the weather then!). Sticking with valves on the pre amp though.

I Live in a small terrace house and it get hot in here with a 1/2 bar electric heater on Simple answer, don't run the electric heater, run the amp. Family then huddles round the amp for warmth.

In the summer, put the amp between a fan and a big lump of ice and you have a superb and musical air-con unit.
