Rant time:
I have had a number of wireless mice, and each one has eventually given up the ghost spectacularly, either because the batteries stopped working, or it just stopped tracking or whatever.
My latest mouse, an expensive Logitech variety, has decided to start double clicking whenever I click once, which as you can imagine is bloomin' frustrating.
There are instructions online to fix it, which I have followed thoroughly, and appeared to make a difference for a short period, but it eventually just starts playing up again.
How annoying!!

Increasing the complexity of a device is directly proportional to the increase in the number of novel and amusing ways it can go wrong.

I cannot use your common garden mice, always used a Logitech Marble trackball mouse. I noticed they do a wireless track ball now, i shall have to investigate, However leads are never a issue with track balls as you never move the mouse.

Microsoft mice (the blue light ones) are very nice, their keyboards less so. It's hard to find a perfect wireless mouse/keyboard combo.

I have been using the Logitech Trackball M570 for years now, and even got a spare one set aside. You can have individual receivers on a number of computers, and use just one trackball between them. As I tend to use my PC a lot whilst in bed, the trackball is the only logical solution during.

What's important to me is the range - I like to be able to plug my laptop into the TV and HiFi, then control it with a mouse from my sofa, 5 metres away.. Logitech for me too. Never had one break down.

Lenovo wireless mice are nice and so are their wired keyboards. Never looked at buying a wireless combo, but will look into it.

I've been using a Tecknet wireless mouse and keyboard without any problems. They weren't expensive either.

I'm using a Logitech MK270 combo at work on my Surface Pro 4 and it's fine. Does the job and has proper function keys rather than being overlaid with annoying media functions (those are separate and above the function keys).
