The Beatles' "Abby Road" (Side 2, in particular) always reminds me of getting a Cambridge Audio P60 in the late '70s.
Seemed little in the way of bass so returned it (to Lintone Audio, who put it on test). Was seduced by the fluorescent output meters of a Pioneer SA-508, so got that instead.

Ultravox "Vienna" always reminds me of the Linn Isobarik PMS/Meridian system I bought in 1981 from Subjective Audio (Howard Popeck).
I had previously owned the passive DMS speakers and Meridian Audio got together with Linn for a special collaborative project involving the Isobarik PMS system, powered by six Meridian 105S power amps with their own tailored electronic crossovers. It was a great system which I kept for seven years.

Whenever I play the Christopher Hogwood performance of Vivaldi's Gloria it always remind me of the time I first heard it in Audio T playing on a Roksan turntable. I had to have it - and I do, on both vinyl and CD.

Took a freshly pressed 45 of Hawkwind - Silver Machine to a mates house in Streatham, put it on his record player and it sounded fantastic. Whenever I hear it now I am transported back to 1972 and that room.

Probably lots, if I think about it, but the one that springs to mind is many, many years ago on a visit to my local hifi shop, I heard 'The Friends of Mr Cairo' through one of the newly launched Musical Fidelity pre-amps. Impressed me so much I bought one on the spot.

I have a few songs/albums that remind me of holidays - Bee Gees being one of them, when I visited my Auntie in Brazil in the early 2000's.

Walk Between The Raindrops - Donald Fagen (The Nightfly) Attended one of the Ramada Heathrow shows in the 90s. Went into an enormous room in the basement and this was playing. Don't know what the electronics were, but it was on vinyl with a pair of the large Kef 104/2s or such like (the ones with the in-board bass units and a large hole in the front ) The speakers were right in the middle of the room and the result was, to me spellbinding. Vocals just hung in the air, bass was sublime and it all sounded so right.
