I'm sure some will know by now that Daniel has had a serious stroke. I know some on this forum did not see eye to eye with him, but sure all will want to join me in wishing him a speedy recovery and offering sympathies to his wife and children at this worrying time.

I personally have not had any interaction with Daniel, but I wish him well and hope he has a speedy recovery.

Sad news - health is so precious
Hope he makes a speedy recovery
A "character" but forums should be like elections have recently been described - a few weeks banter then back for a pint in the pub.
My son's girlfriends dad suffered a couple of brain bleeds over a year ago, and was in a coma for weeks, and in hospital for months. Last month he passed his medical to drive again, and has been playing golf since April. So keep a positive attitude
Best wishes to him and his family

Forum antics pale into insignificance at times like this. Hope you get better soon, DQ.

Bad news.
@classicrock Paul, is anyone from forumland in contact with his family, do you know? I suppose they must be or you wouldn't have given us the news. I am in Preston three days a week, so if there is anything I can do to help him or his family, I would be happy to.

A couple of HFS members are getting in contact and his wife has posted report on his condition on the forum. I suggest join HFS and PM his wife.

More sad news.
Odd how individuals you don't know from Adam, apart from reading their postings on a forum, can impact you. Still find it difficult to accept the passing of James, and again, I didn't know him at all.
One can only wish him a speedy and full recovery and hope his wife and family are coping, as best they can.

Glad to hear that he appears to be on the mend, I know that a Stroke is a long old rehabilitation road so again wish him and his family well on that journey.

Excellent news. Bit surreal visiting HFS again, however briefly, but good to read the progress. These things are a long road, but it is surprising how much recovery can be made. Aside from Darcy's Dad I mentioned before (who is 100% back from a totally paralysing coma which lasted over a month), my friend Anne recovered from 6 weeks in a coma following a bad motorcycle accident. So keep thinking positive!
Hopefully Anna and the family are getting lots of support, cos it must be real hard work
Best wishes

Good to read DQ is feeling able to post today, despite being somewhat incapacitated.

Good to read DQ is feeling able to post today, despite being somewhat incapacitated. It is indeed. Mind you, he's an Arsenal supporter so the current scoreline's probably not doing much for his blood pressure.
