Hello and thanks for the new forum. I'm an admitted audiophile, but there's always a chance I'll recover. Then again, if patterns persist, there's also a distinct possibility of relapse. Equipment geek, engineering/Broadcast background, Product Developer, worked at a Hi End Audio Modification company for about 10 years, decades of machining experience as well. Been through the DIY mill, still love audio projects, etc. A fan of both vinyl and digital (  ), vacuum and solid state, and about every type of speaker ever devised. Basically an audio junkie and very glad to be aboard! Scott |

I sincerely hope that you can maintain the ethos we started at LH. Offer respect and enthusiasm, and the members will both follow and reciprocate. At some point it will start to maintain and support itself- we can use more GOOD forums. I hope yours can succeed with minimal policing and a positive attitude.
It became exhausting to go to AA, etc. and I actually felt worse after an hour spent at those. Flame wars, attacks, closed minds and equipment effite offer nothing and subvert good people's efforts to share and benefit from audio community.
We've tried that concept at LencoHeaven (we think successfully), and I hope we and TAS can continue that pattern to actually offer audio enthusiasts room to grow and an environment to do it in. You'll be surprised at how good people really are!
Godspeed, and I'll visit as often as I can. Best of luck guys!

Thank you, Scott. We hope to learn from all the good stuff you have achieved.
I agree that AA has far too many battles going on. We know we have some strong egos here and some fierce opinions. Rather than dismiss what we don't want to hear, we'll try and keep discussions courteous and try not to suppress good information hidden within the debates.
We will try, more than anything, not to use banning except in extreme circumstances. Time will tell!
By the way, I love the avatar.
