Over-rated component of the year: the d'Agostino preamp. None of that range has impressed me one little bit.

I think you mean this comment "As a retailer in this sector, there's a simple reason for the price escalation - the market for lower cost equipment has almost evaporated." I think we see it in the downturn of traffic in shops, forums and shows. We represent a declining interest in these times of phone-based music, squawky bluetooth speakers and instant gratification. I can wow friends with the sound quality that can be attained, but few are prepared to invest in good quality. They think a Bose Wave Radio is good enough. |
