Prompted by Jerry's purchase of a Kinter MA-180 amplifier for peanuts money, I spotted this on eBay. The Kinter MA-200 features 4 channels, USB and SD Card inputs and an FM tuner. Oh, and a remote. All it needs is 12V power. £18.95. Barmy!

Or, if you prefer 2 channels and more power, the MA-600.

Wow - awesome! But no balance controls on those. It's difficult to guess if the power is any higher - they quote 20wpc for the 600, but the 170 was an alleged 18wpc and turned out to be 5wpc according to hifi criteria. But you do get remote, USB, FM tuner as well as the chip amp. For around £20. Crazy stuff. And my one at least sounds surprisingly decent - I bet they all do. Could they drive Martin's Ushers to skull crushing levels? - probably not.
