The reason for the thread came out of thinking about articles I read in Practical Electronics and The Elektor magazines back in the late 70s/80s. I remember trying out nested feedback on a Maplins 50W Hi-Fi amp. It did produce a difference, but it was hard to tell if it was any better than the standard circuit. Same with tuning the power supply by adding a low-value resistor(s) in the transformer's primary. Happy days... Happy day...

Well in that case, quasi-complimentary push-pull circuits, current dumping (again), TUN and TUP (do you remember Elektor's generic transistor description for NPN and PNP types), LEDs for voltage references.
