I shall be travelling down to The ASBO next weekend and, due to the distance, I'm going to have to book a room in a Traveldodgy or somewhere for the Saturday night.  I'm thinking I might get on the road and a little way away from Reading before I get my head down for the night.  So, I need to book somewhere along the route.  Trouble is, when I look for the best route  I'm given three options, none of which are the one I had imagined I'd be using.  

So, has anyone got a little local knowledge of the best route to the M6 toll road from that neck of the woods?  

Here are the three routes that Google has suggested, while I had imagined going west a little on the M4 towards Newbury then north on the A34 towards Oxford and the M40. I was thinking of bagging a room near Newbury, Oxford or somewhere in between.





Any thoughts guys?
