Won't give me img codes - I just get a blank grey box in the corner of the screen! What's other photo sites are easy to use and can be used here?

I find that periodically photobucket sulks. You can reboot, change browsers, close other applications but it makes no difference. PB can be grindingly slow I have flickr too, but failed to get it working to post a pic here on this forum - in spite of following Martins guide. Let's have another go Nope - looks like that failed. Lets trim to img...img Nope - one last try What am I doing wrong?

If you edit your post and look at the BBCode, your first post isn't even a link from Flickr and the second and third attempts aren't links at all!
Just go to a photo in Flickr, click the Share Photo button, copy the link proferred and paste it directly into a post here (not using the Insert Image button).

I took this earlier today, uploaded to Photobucket, and did all I mentioned in my above post

Ah - Glasshopper! RTFQ Richard. You are quite right Martin - your instructions do not say "paste the link into the add image box". Actually - they don't mention paste at all. I guess having used photobucket I just assumed that you had to use the "add image" button, and that was implicit in the explanation. Like "Paste the link" was implicit in the explanation. Maybe I'm the only one to have lost half a day on this one, but it probably wouldn't hurt to add "paste the link directly into your post - do not use the "add image" button" to your explanation

THanks
Btw I have just finished nearly 2 hours guitar practice with the Line 6 Helix and those headphones in the photo, and you completely forget you are wearing cans.

I find Photobucket these days to be a slow as the movement of tectonic plates. Uploading images takes forever.

After some issues about a year ago, Flickr has gone back to being very fast for image hosting. And you get 1TB of storage free.

I've just joined Imgur and managed to "rescue" a lot of my old artwork from various sites and archive it all in one place. I might try the same with Flickr when I get my breath back.
