As Chris says, be careful of player anomalies. My car unit insists on displaying only the folder name of the album contents in the selection list, no matter that they are under folders for the artist. Therefore I have to name my folders, e.g. Amos, Tori; Little Earthquakes otherwise I get an alpha list of album titles rather than sorted by artist. These little things escalate once you have a sizeable collection (and I do all this only for the car)! Wow ok, good to know Martin. In the past, all I have ever done is allow iTunes to sort out the metadata (i.e. sort the files etc.) as that was the system I was using to rip my albums. With dBPoweramp there appears to be lots of opportunities to modify the metadata, just confused why I would also need a MP3 or equivalent tagging solution if you can do the majority of it via dBPoweramp? or am I missing something?

Do it via dBPoweramp as you're using it. I use Mp3tag.
