Well, yes, but then he totally abused his body with drugs.
I doubt if that helped his prognosis.

I understand your concerns Paul, but the way I read the news was that George's body simply couldn't cope with the various stresses he had put it under - he was doing crack cocaine apart from anything else, so not really surprising it all took its toll ...
