I have roadside fix, the boss added on, both of us in any motor and the get you home service, for the boss more than me. Can't remember the last time I used them, but I can remember a few times when the boss did

I find adding breakdown cover to my insurance has been cheap(£35) and worthwhile - could be worth looking into.

Do you know who the provider is to the insurance company ?
Could work as they may have sheer weight of numbers the recovery companies don't have

Certainly worth knowing for the future. One of the sales points of the recovery companies is the time they take to respond. Do your guys publish data on that ?

No,can't say they do Mike. I've only used the service once, years ago. Locked my keys in the back of a van I had, phoned the insurance company, half an hour later a van appeared and opened up my van for me. Simple. I'm not home just now either so can't check through my documents to help any further I'm afraid.

Sounds good. Perhaps in this day and age all reasonable services give a fast turnaround

Mine is £78.23 for Roadside only. Home Start is a rip off £98. They may offer it free for a year if pushed but you get done for the full whack following year. Most people don't change it and it goes out of your account.

Yes this price bumping is out of order. I was going to raise it with the AA but they beat me to it. Seems we have to go shopping every year or contract for gas, electric, insurance, broadband, mobiles (not me) and include banks
