I loved TG because of the puerile schoolboy humour and stupidity. If there were cars in it, that was a bonus. But as they say...when it's gone....it's gone! They should have gone for something completely different with TGT. I have watched a few and been bored. The humour and format is tired. As for the new TG....well what can you say, copying the old format was bound to be a recipe for disaster. I recorded last night's but am not in a hurry to watch it.

I tried watching it, FF'd through it. Don't like the presenters apart from Matt LB, who I'd rather see sending himself up in Episodes. Waste of fuel and licence payers money. They could have bid higher for some more tennis or F1 or made something else instead

I just watched the latest TG and really enjoyed it ... Loved the Lambo v Porsche feature and that new Alfa looks like a bit of a handful!
Most likely to stick with the series now ...

Watched the second episode with the a Lamborghini and Porsche yesterday and thought it was the best yet, they seemed to work together well.

The second episode was certainly the best since Clarkson and co left. If they can keep this up and throw in some real world vehicle reports it could go somewhere. I think they could do with some better presenters and should get away from rigidly sticking to the old format of 3 male presenters. They have the token black presenter yet again but no females. I'm afraid the BBC have the wrong idea of equality. Also now the same problem with Homes Under The Hammer and no word if they are going to replace Lucy.

If he was a token presenter he would be there purely because of his colour. Have a look at what the guy has done - he's a motoring and technology journalist.

It's a "no" from me, I tried and just cant get on with the format. It just dosen't seem as polished as the Clarkson era. Perhaps I'm being too critical??

For me it is not the presenters or the format. It's the continuation of the same format, with new presenters. Only a Shakespeare play can get away with that. For a TV program I would expect an alternative angle of view on motoring.

I can't bring myself to watch the BBC version. The Grand Tour is superb IMO, just have no interest in second-rate imitations.

Just watched the latest Top Gear and really enjoyed it again. I think the presenters are all getting much more confident in their roles and loosening up a bit ... And always good to see more of Sabine. Never thought I would see the day when Ford would make a properly exciting sports car but that GT does look pretty exceptional on the track. The desert racing thing looks great fun - would love to try this at a slightly more sedate speed!

Yes I'm very impressed with Top Gear at the moment. It's jam packed with cars. I especially like Chris Harris, I'm glad he is one of the team as he's has a huge internet following with a very successful YouTube channel. , I think the BBC Baged a good one there. He is so passionate about cars and flip me does he know how to drive. I also really like Matt leBlanc, he is is laid back funny and just Matt LeBlanc through and through. If the BBC can get the punters back I think they will do well.
