The debut album(1995) from The Chemical Brothers and its great. A bit more indie than their later albums that veered off towards the dance side of their music it's hard hitting with lots of deep bass and plenty of attack. It's only around Chicos Groove that it calms down a bit!
Personal favourites include In Dust We Trust,Alive Alone and Life is Sweet.
I can see this being a bit repetitive and wearing for some but,to me,it's a great album that's well worth a listen. Hopefully someone else likes it!

Thanks for the album, Chris. I've added a poll for you.
This is completely new to me so I look forward to trying it.

I really don't think it will be my thing either, but I will give it a go, Chris. You know what George Michael said? Listen without prejudice!

Don't start me on George Michael.....
Yeah I can see this one not being to everyone's taste. Should've gone with Pearl Jam Ten instead! Anyway that's just how music is.

I've got Surrender which I really like , but this was too repetitive for me and as you say hard hitting with hardly a break . The odd track or two now and again would be alright but not the whole album at one go. 5/10

Despite liking a fair bit of electronic music, I think I prefer the style that starts somewhere and goes places, like Yello or Air, for instance. This just doesn't hook me much and strikes me as more for dance than for listening. 4/10.

I've only had time to try the first two tracks so will reserve judgement until I can listen to it all. So far so so - a bit repetitive but I suspect you have to be 'in the mood' and it will grow on me.

Always liked this album, but I think for the memories of the era rather than the actual record. I prefer their next album 'Dig Your Own Hole', when they became chart stars. 'One Too Many Mornings' was our come down track in the mid-90s - great times. A solid 7 from me.

7 from me, I quite like this album. A little repetitive at times which is why I didn't score it higher, but one I'd definitely buy.

Glad to hear some folk are enjoying it!

4 from me I'm afraid. It bored the arse off of me because I was constantly waiting for at least one of the (bloody repetitive) tracks to develop into something meaningful. It's the sort of thing that I expect to hear from some herbert at the traffic lights with a sub-woofer that's worth more than his car. All reviews are subjective of course.

Decided to vote 6 after listening all the way through. On the second listen it became too repetitive and I started thinking about changing to something else.
Thanks for posting, always happy to try something new.
