Yes there are many and many not necessarily proven Here's one I knew about years ago, 2007 at a guess from New Scientist. From memory it was a study in a Scandi country where they found males only I think were dying of cancer. Initally thought to be from an industrial process I think they were very surprised to find you can get Acrylamide from burnt toast. www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-38680622Worth a thought

These "health risks " annoy me. They put out so many and often with conflicting advice that no one really pays attention now. A decent mixed diet of home cooked food mixed with a sensible amount of exercise is the way forward.

I ignore all these dietary, and conflicting, proclamations now. By the time they kill me, I'll be dead already

The good news for the Scots is that Mars Bars should be OK as long as you don't coat them in breadcrumbs before deep-frying them.

Deep fried pizza though: it's got one extra way to kill Scots chip shop customers now.

The surprise was the research on Acrylamide was done so many years ago and the BBC have just reported it, not that accurately. Being open to the information is a plus. Shame so much is bollocks or reported badly so difficult to tell what is right. Not just tabloids as it used to be, or I thought so, perhaps all journos now Tried fags as a kid, did not like it at all so missed a bullet there. Went vegetarian for moral reasons. If their is a health benefit then great. Gradually went off drink naturally years ago, not sure why. 6 pints a night out was an average for me when I went out. Never used to drink water. May or may not have been a cause of the gout I now have. Since drinking pints of water a day I have lost the headaches I used to have regularly. May have been something else but if I find a headache beginning I think back on water consumption that day, down, drink a pint or 2 and the beginning of the headache is gone. Placebo ? Who knows. Stops headaches though

Drinking sufficient water certainly helps you feel good, I find if I don't have enough, I just feel sluggish all day. Although I am supposed to keep an eye on my water intake as a consequence of my heart condition, so I'm kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place.
I agree though that it helps massively with headaches... I like you, used to get headaches a lot and drinking enough water certainly improves things!.

It is possible to overhydrate as well as underhydrate so don't overdo the water...2 or 2.5 litres per day is whats often recommended.

Remember that tea and coffee are diuretics so they dehydrate you, meaning you will need MORE water!

Interesting. I'm more of a coffee drinker than tea, but I feel the need for more water if I drink either. Being diabetic magnifies the effect somewhat.

I'm way better on water than the equivalent volume of tea.
Used to drink about 8 big mugs of tea a day.

I knocked boozing on the head over 6 months ago. No because of any health risks it just does nothing for me any more & is basically money down the drain that could be spent on Records..
