Anyone got any experience of them? I fancy a pair of Arcs at some stage and wondered if anyone had any idea of what to expect. Seems a lot of former Isobarik owners like them, which is what attracts me.

I heard a pair at Thebiglebowski's and was very impressed, especially with the sound from such small speakers, about 3' high. Do not know the model

I heard a pair recently at Audio T near where I live and I was surprised how good they sounded to be honest, presentation wasn't too bright or thin, quite a full sound with warmth I thought.

I'll be looking out for a bargain used pair, prices off Shahinian can be very steep but I do t mind waiting. Thanks for the replies folks.

The last Shahinians I heard was about 20 years ago, fed by a Linn Sondek, driven by Densen amps. It was the first time I heard George Michael's album Older on vinyl - wow! The intro to Spinning The Wheel just had a presence that the CD which I had heard many times couldn't compete with. Might've been the Shahinians helping that, I don't know. I don't know how close Larsen speakers get to them - they're reportedly not built to the same standard, but are a lot cheaper and based on similar principles. I noticed them at Bristol last year but the room was busy so decided to come back. I didn't. I'll definitely be visiting that room this year.

Shahs can sound very good, but they are quite a 'distinctive' sound and are a very awkward load for an amp, it needs serious muscle to get anything like the best out of them. Definitely audition with your own amp if you can, or be prepared to go on a search for a suitable amp.

Thanks David and Jerry. I wasn't aware of the amp needs, but tbh it will likely be a KSA50 or a big Exosure. Shahinian rate Bedini amps so I cannot rule one out if cheap. Not up there with my faves though.
