The tech on the new BRs doesn't just do vibration. It also minimises electrical output from the device it is supporting so there are two jobs being carried out Do you know how it's doing the latter? I've looked at their site and I'm not seeing this so can you point me to the info please?

Apparently, Black Ravioli feet need a burn in time?
Quantum tunnelling of current on a directional AC fuse was amusing, but what the hell could make my equipment feet “burn in”? I fear witch craft may be being used.
I believe that as far as equipment feet, Black ravioli will work, but ye gods, the marketing department have been sniffing too many marker pens for my liking.

Not so much burn in as flattening and settling. Heavy gear seems to compress them slightly.
SQ does seem to get better

I recall reading that this stuff is also what submarine tiles are made from. It apparently helps cloak them from detection. Absorption of stray electronic fields may be a factor. That is, of course, if that's what they are made form in the first place. No idea whether "burn in"is real but it may be something to do with the multiple layers settling under load. I think I recall reading that, but can't be sure. I can't say I noticed any such burn in myself. sputniknews.com/russia/201609171045411956-russia-subs-noiseless/

Forget the quasi-technical mumbo jumbo. It distracts from the fact that BR works, and works impressively well.

It's been said they reduce electrical output but I'm struggling to understand where that information has come from before we even get into how it would work.....

Forget the quasi-technical mumbo jumbo. It distracts from the fact that BR works, and works impressively well. Completely agree: That's so often the case. I am sure there's already a BR thread on here if anyone wants to read more. Edit: looks like I was wrong, although BR has been mentioned in several threads.

yep and if you do please do a write up,how does it compare to a bees and wasp nest, what gave the biggest improvement?

This is why some discussions on tweaks go wrong. Non-techy bloke installs tweak, says much of improvement there is. Techy bloke asks 'What causes the improvement?' Non-techy bloke either quotes verbatim from the tweak manufacturer's publicity, or guesses wildly without understanding what the words he or the manufacturer is using actually mean. Techy bloke either: a) (if polite) responds 'I see' and leaves it at that; b) falls on the floor laughing; c) asks ever more detailed technical questions until the non-techy bloke says I DON'T KNOW. FFS, IT JUST SODDING WELL WORKS, OK?
Of course, this does render such threads tricky beasts to manage, because you either get short 'I tried it, I liked it' threads with no real discussion, or long, increasingly bitter arguments ending in a ban or two.
