We have several 35mm Pentax bodies and lenses that we still wheel out every now and then. Also a rather good Rollei enlarger, which we were using just the other day.

It's a different way of doing things.
With digital I snap away taking multiple shots from different angles etc then throw away the 90% that I don't want to keep, and maybe edit some of the keepers. Back in the film days I used to line up the shots carefully, and think about what I was doing before taking maybe 2 or 3 shots. No editing so it had to be right first time.
Of course it was a money thing too - cost of film, developing, then printing made the cost-per-print way higher in those days.

still got a Zenith 'TTL' 35mm camera from my young lad train spotting days.. I've still got my Canon 35mm SLR and several lens. I'd sell them if they were worth anything.
Andre, do you still have any enthusiasm for trains, or railways in general ?
I've had conversations with an old mate of yours, Rudolph Hucker, he's on the lookout for you.

I've had conversations with an old mate of yours, Rudolph Hucker, he's on the lookout for you. I might buy your Canon from you. Or pick up some old kit again. I have suddenly become aware of this film photography revival from all sides. I think first awareness was my step-son in Florida saying to his mum that what he really wanted was a film camera - which seemed bizarre. I ditched my Olympus SLR kit probably 10 years ago now, when the first Nikon DSLR I had was "almost there". I loved fannying around in dark rooms as much as the quality of product, but - I dunno. This may be one analogue revival I don't join. I am starting to get to grips with digital, and its not that shabby. Maybe the kids will influence me.

After the Zenith, a Minolta X-300 was my trusty companion for many years.
