Hi there. I'm from Audio Talk (mainly), and thought I'd see what's going on round here.

I'm mainly into DIY, and valve amps in particular. My efforts are SET in the main and current favourites are KT66 as a triode, GK-71 as a triode and the mighty 833a which is a triode. Get the picture ?

Preamp is a World Designs Pre3 and an Audionote copy built by Philip Ramsey (of Bluebell Audio fame). Vinyl is a 401 with rega arm and the phono is a World Designs Phono3.

Digital is mainly a Squeezebox Touch through an AK4393 DAC or one of many CD players, one of which is a DIY effort.

Speakers are open baffles with an 18" Fane unit and a Fostex full range unit. Similar to the ones Nick G uses and designed by James Doddington.

Future projects are to rebuild the 833a amps with higher HT (somewhere about 1300v) and a dual mono power supply for the GK-71 so I can also try it as a pentode.
