If you suffer from that what you doing being into Hi-Fi It's usually sounds, coming vividly from a person near by. One of them is constant coughing and breathing sounds that can really irritate me. I also detest barking from dogs. But that's no surprise! Because I simply can't stand the bloody creatures! Sad, but very true! S. o dear seems i have that as well without realising

Interestingly, my depression has subsided a lot since the diagnosis I have never suffered from depression, Paul, but my outlook on life has certainly become much more positive since suffering from a life-shortening diagnosis. Interesting, maybe that is what has changed my outlook too.

I can sympathise with this a lot Shane. Intrusive thoughts can sometimes be linked to OCD and you could explore this further but if you've found a strategy to cope you may not want to! Yes, indeed. Buying Hi-Fi also helps to keep my mind busy. Takes my mind off a lot of thoughts that triggers the anxieties. I also suffer from misophonia. Always have a fan on in the background, to block out certain sounds that annoy me!! S. The one noise that irritates me most is people whistling. It's usually the thickos that do it too. It always reminds me that a whistle is nothing more an empty vessel with a pea rattling round in it...... Just like the numbskulls who are tweeting away......GRRR!

Oh, and then there's canned laughter. If only they made a filter to plug into the TV that would cut it out. Why on earth would I want to hear a sample of Americam morons chortling to order every ten seconds? Sadly my wife loves the shows that come packaged with this shite. Maybe I need to get into headphones

I remember back when MASH introduced canned laughter. It was the beginning of the end for that great series.

And the. You get dross like "Cheers": Filmed in front of a live audience. They forget to mention there's a couple of stooges prompting them when to laugh. Beyond annoying.
