Not quite in this league though

I'm not sure whether that is confidence, stupidity or both... it is just madness... pretty impressive though!

Madness. If he makes a mistake, he won't know about it for long.

The number of crashes I've had its a wonder I'm still able to walk let alone ride a bike. Twice I've had a malfunction that's sent me into traffic and once I missed a trip into the river Tyne by a few inches (I was a non swimmer back then). Another bearing failure sent me over the handle bars on a steep downhill street (Dean Street) in Newcastle with cars behind me. Then there are the multiple incidents on roundabouts with drivers who were just oblivious to my presence. And of course my crash into a cycle barrier that wrecked my right hand, broke my arm and damaged the nerves in my neck and arm. Two years on I'm still recovering although my hand is never going to be right. I'm probably typical of most cyclists. Spills seem to be a part of riding.

I guess most well known professional stunt riders have either had near fatal accident or even killed themselves. it's just plain silly risking your life like they do imho, especially when you have a wife & children.

My mechanicals have been trivial in comparison to yours. Having bright clothes, rear lights on at all times and a rear mirror help - as well as a respect for Murphy's Law

Have a look at the Atherton family,Matt Hunter,Brandon Semenuk or Steve Peat. These guys are at the top of the tree and just make it look easy. I used to be Awrite on a bike - riding DH trails at Innerleithen or a couple of laps of the red at Glentress was no problem and I realise just how difficult some of the riding is! Must get back into it.

I used to do a lot of road, track and velodrome racing, if you watched the track racing at the olympics or the road racing at the Tour de France you will know what I'm on about. Any time I tried to pull stunts like in the videos above I ended up black and blue. I remember crashing on my bike when I was a kid, my pecker was so big it looks like a black burnt sausage. Needless to say it was agony .

Madness. If he makes a mistake, he won't know about it for long. Very imoressive. I'd liken it to a dance routine - you can't choreograph a dance and dance it perfectly first time, it takes practice to master - but dancing has the massive advantage of not being performed on the edges of 40ft drops! Mistakes are highly unwelcome...

Wow. Stupid fecker! Impressive when he doesn't crash. I guess some people are just Evel Knievel wired and some are not. I've had one major spill, broken hand, chipped tooth, knee and shoulder bruising. Tarmac is not forgiving. I did cycle again the day after - back on the horse and all that. I cycle recreationally now only and enjoy it.

Ah. I assumed from his set up videos he prepared it so well injuries were very unlikely
