The love for hifi! This place was recommended my a member on a different forum. I like to dry different things from time to time. My next project is a HTPC so I can hopefully disconnect my satellite.

ok a serious question since this forum is mostly made up of UKers.
Several years ago in the early 90s I spent a couple of long weekends in Liverpool with the US Army. I stayed at the Adelphi Hotel & Spa, and we tried to used the same cab driver to ferry us back and forth to where our helicopter was stored. The cab driver's name was Eddy and claimed to be the driver the Beatles used when they were in town. Does anyone here have historical evidence to this claim?

Not a clue. Thought the Beatles used a van before being famous and a limo when famous

Sounds like a typical taxi drivers tall story, no doubt enhance with Liverpudlian colour. Now I know the UK is a relatively small place compared with the USA, but your question is nevertheless a bit of a long shot unless we are lucky enough to have a member from Liverpool who is very familiar with its cab drivers from around twenty years ago!

Indeed, Liverpool cabbies are renowned fro chatting up their passengers in order to earn a big tip. I use Uber now where you don't tip and consequently the drivers tend to be a lot less talkative.

That's what we were thinking all those years ago. Anyone over 50 the time likely had a Beatles story weather it was baby sitting or went to school with them.
