I listen to all kinds of music but over the years have developed a taste for contemporary jazz and both ancient and modern blues. Main system is all Linn withe exception of a Lejonklou phono amp and Stax Electrostaics.
I have AV separate to 2 channel - Unidisk SC and Linn power amps with a Quad L-ite 5.1 speaker system. BluRay and video hdmi is provided for by a Sony Blu Ray Player. My vinyl has been amassed over 40+ years and supplemented by CDs over the last 25 (I wasn't an early adopter- and never completely won over - although I do think that SACD is very very good). To me the music is more important than the kit but getting a good sound is also valuable.
I don't have "golden ears" and don't go chasing the next cable or power cord but I've played instruments for as long as I've listened to them so I can discern what I think that I like -but am just as happy to recognise that there is always something to learn!

Swedish. Mine's a Kinki 3. They're made in small numbers but this one has just been superseded. He's better known for his Power Amps - Tundra stereo and mono. There's also a new pre-amp, but I've not heard that. I've heard the power amps- sort of Linn voiced, Klimax type of quality. The phono is voiced for the Linn Adikt (MM only). They are also good value. This one is at least as good as the old Linn Kairn phono stage - and that is a good phono stage. He doesn't make a MC stage (as far as I'm aware, nor does he make one to go inside the deck but it wouldn't surprise me to see one , one day. Lejonklou is worth a listen - especially for those who actually like the Glaswegian sound but are not so keen on the label, prices and, to an extent, philosophies! The only problem for me with changing from Linn power amp to Tundras is that I run active Keilidhs and it would mean having to source a Tunebox. I much prefer the Keilidhs (tri) active. So mine will stay as they are! Lejonklou are here: www.lejonklou.comNo affiliation, just a nice product an worth a listen.
