Does anyone here enjoying going to listen to (and sing!) Christmas Carols? One of my happiest times was the Xmas holidays when I was a chorister and the lovely services we would sing. It's one of the few parts about the whole Christmas thing I enjoy and wanted to go to a service at St Albans Cathedral this year, but it's a virtual sellout for the main services! I'll have to find out where else would be good close to London - I don't feel I've 'done' Christmas without it ...

I do like Christmas carols and secular Christmas songs, many memories wrapped up in them all.

As another former chorister I love Christmas music.
In fact, I might start playing some this afternoon.

Every year I say I'm going to record a selection of carols in my home studio and every year I realise I've left it too late again so I'm stuck on just the one, The Carol of the Bells.
I've got a heck of a collection of Christmas albums though, from Andrea Bocelli to B.B. King.

B. b. King, Christmas album, that sounds like it could be good.

When my voice broke I left singing and never returned. The highlight of my choral career was singing in Chelmsford cathedral although I can't now remember what we sang. *

Yes I never went back to it either - I certainly miss the special experience of singing in a choir, especially at Christmas ...
