Just bought one of these on a whim and for the money it's rather nice. I usually use either a musical fidelity xlps or my nuvistor phono stage that i have been buggering around with for a couple of years. To be honest i have been using the mf lately while developing the lenco as its more reliable and is a known quantity where the nuvistor build is still a work in progress after a number of years. When it's working it's sublime, when it's having an off day it's a pain in the arse.
The micromega is a smoothie, seems nice and flat all the way up and down, clean, and imaging is very good straight out of the box. Obviously it aint going to be better than something costing a grand, or the nuvistor, but for a relatively humble outlay of beer tokens, its very acceptable. Not much info on it out there but I think if you are in the market for an affordable phono stage it's worth a punt Cheers ant

Oh and it does mm and mc too which is handy as I broke my brand new 3 week old audio technica at-f7 while being particularly inept the other night so have resurrected a shure m97 xe with a new stylus. Then found i still had my red bodied ortofon mc10 so i can bugger about with them both Cheers ant

Nice to hear feedback on a current Micromega product. You hardly read any customer reviews on this stuff, but the company pedigree would suggest it's good stuff.
I've owned and loved a few of their products over the years. The only one I disliked was the Microdac. The only good thing I could say about that was it wasn't as poor as the QED Digit.

The brand was the reason I even bothered with it in the first place, I used one their cd transports for a couple of years, and was rather happy with it. That and the arcam delta 170.2 were the only ones I was entirely happy with. Ive had a soft spot for micromega stuff since then. Them and musical fidelity, which is why I've kept the xlps going as my go to phono stage when messing around with my own builds I didnt know they were even still going. It seems to be opening up nicely after about 2 hours use with the m97 in the modified rb251 on the lenco
Ive been able to listen to Peter Gabriels so without wincing, so that's a good start

I'd really like to hear about anyone's experiences with the MyDAC.

I'd never heard of it, but I secretly like some of the Micromega products of old. I love the gorgeous mini CD transport which is hard to get hold of.
Glad you found a good phono stage to recommend.

Meant to say, Peter Gabriel 4 is my favourite album of his, musically complex and technically challenging to reproduce well. Superb in all respects.
