I bought these a fair while back. They just look so cool and retro - a simple design and all the better for it. Time to move them on and make room for more toys. They work very well with a lovely warm but detailed 70s sound. Excellent condition. Some faint scuffing and marks on the steel headband. Leather earpads still in great condition. £20 + £4 signed for UK delivery. I will donate the money from this sale to my Scalford17 charity event on behalf of Cancer Research UK.

Hi Jerry I'm out of my depth here, how do they sound compare it to more modern headphones, thanks
They look like they should be on a series of M*A*S*H 😜

... I've been playing around with quite a few headphones over the last year or so. From vintage Yamaha orthodynamics and B&O, to modern Beyerdynamic and PSB. They vary a lot in sonic signature, even the modern ones. These ATH-2 sound sophisticated and would never be mistaken for the cheap (crap) ones you can get these days for this sort of money that sound frankly opaque. They do have quite a warm signature, definitely no listener fatigue here. But spacious and nicely detailed. No exaggerated bass like you get with 'streetwise' modern phones, but they do have a warm generosity in the lower regions. Not as open and detailed as say a Grado, but they don't have the forward signature of the Grados, either. Very comfortable as well, very light. Part of the point / pleasure here is owning a lovely piece of vintage gear - if you want the best that modern design and technology can give, then be prepared to spend considerably more! Does that help?

I use 1970's headphones. I would not have another pair of modern headphones thrown at me.

They are, actually, orthodynamic in operation, and not your typical dynamic type, as is often thought.

Being your colour, Andre, I thought you would have snapped them up.
