Room Width - 3.5m Room Length - 6m Speaker Distance - 2.35m Speaker-to-Listener -2.7m Toe-in - miniscule Speakers - Tannoy Chatsworth Room Quality - Fairly dead
Such is the layout of our living room I can only make tiny adjustments to position of speakers in terms of width; my listening point is also pretty much fixed ...

3.5m / 6.75m / 2.75 / 5.25 / Yes / Frugel3 / Fairly live I have a double door width opening into the next room at one side, directly in front of the speaker, so I lose some 'compression' through there. Toeing the speakers in helps, as does sitting in the reinforcement from the rear wall reflection. Sounds good down there in the kitchen though - apparently.

My room dimensions are a little unusual. The most problematic of my room dimensions is its narrow width at only 2.6m. The length of the room is 6.2m and the speakers are about 1.7 m apart. Another really useful dimension to appreciate (although you can probably work this out with the keen mathematical eye) is the distance the drivers are away from the side walls and in my case it's about 40 cm . However I do find that even in this odd room that I can get an incredible sound from my hi-fi, although I would love to have a room that is much wider . Sorry chaps, I forgot to say that my listening position is about 2.5m from my speakers, although I'm reviewing this at the mo. A few weeks ago I would have said that acoustically the room was quite dead, it may have been, but I have recently hung heavy curtains behind my speakers which has been a revelation, especially as my speakers are open baffles and they fire backwards as well as forwards.

Thanks, both. You are both listening in an isosceles configuration, in Steve's case quite extreme!
