I bought some Senn RS170 (one down from 'yours') for about £130 iirc. They were pretty crap sounding, tbh. Noticeably on the dull, muffled, boring, low rez side of things.
Waaaaaay behind similar cost wired headphones. The wireless thing about triples the cost, is my guess. But OK for background muzak if you are pottering around with other things on your mind.
And the signal spluttered out at much closer range than I hoped it would.

I'd jump for them if cheap, no matter what. When I was using mine they were great for keeping in touch with bike races while making tea. Wandering around the garden listening to music was also fun
The batteries went on mine and I haven't got around to fixing them, something I seem to be making a bad habit.

What's the sound quality like also they have been used a couple of times and they would be free ,I wanted the Senns hd 600 or 650"s and if they are s-ite I will not bother or mess him around it would be fed through a hi-end Naim system,I know nothing about headphones just people's reviews ,I'm used to speakers and I don't want to make a mistake,I now have a bushmaster 2 which his he does not want it to many wires) and a Naim headphone amp with power supply

They sounded good enough to me. Perhaps even 'good'. Didn't make the comparison to the system as I assumed it would out perform it
I much prefer speakers to wearing headphones too

Was thinking of buying a pair of Bose QuietComfort 35 Wireless Bluetooth Noise Cancelling Headphones. Does anybody own them? I’ve always been really sceptical of wireless headphones from a sound quality perspective, but I’m told these headphones have to heard to be believed. Don’t want to fork out £330 if they are naff!

" have to heard to be believed." Personally, based on my experience with wireless 'phones (see above) I'll believe it when i hear it!
But, someone I know recently posted this elsewhere ... " I decided to treat myself & bought a pair of Bose Quiet comfort 35 wireless headphones. I am very impressed with them both for how they cancel outside noise & the great sound produced".
So, give them a try!

Senn 600/650s are like Spendor speakers or Quad statics-once you get them they stay in your life till they or you die. Vehicles for enjoying music. Head fi is a good source of info regards cans.

Hmm, not sure if that is a good recommendation - I don't have Spendors or Quads any more, they didn't die and the last time I checked I wasn't dead either.

You are going to try these free phones, tell us if they are any good and make you own mind up. I have Senn HD600, love them.

I bought some Bose QuietComfort 35s and as a frequent flyer, I have to say they are very good! Also good for round the house, whilst tidying up etc.

It's likely the wireless system that's screwing with the sound quality. You can't beat a cable connection for best quality with headphones.
