In another thread Martin mentioned his desire for "one more brute force car".
What would members consider to be a "brute force" car.
Perhaps one from cars available on the road today, and one from the past.

I'd go for the LR Discovery (old model) - not only did they require a certain amount of brute force to drive them, but they exuded enough 'brute-forcishness' that other drivers keep out of the way !

Disco ?
My interpretation of "brute force" was in terms of horsepower.
In my formative years there were certain sports cars that were termed "hairy chest" cars, they had power that exceeded the handling and brakes ability and needed a real man to drive them fast.
In the case of the "works" Austin-Healey 3000 rally cars a real woman, Pat Moss (sister of Sir Stirling Moss) mastered them as well.

LOL! What I meant was one more coupe with a power/weight ratio more than is entirely necessary

Agree but if you can afford one you probably do not mind it is a summer car

And one I'll never drive

The Ariel Atom is damned handy on the Nurburgring, too.

The AC Cobra/Shelby 427 for me the ultimate muscle car, not very practical as Martin has pointed out but certainly a thing of beauty in my eyes en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AC_Cobra

Would electric count as brute force? Those mental Teslas are doing 0-60 in 2.5 seconds!
There's always 911s and the other usual suspects as well -M5,M3 E63 Evos blah blah....

I personally do not have time for fast cars & the twonks that drive em. Driving is not about all that.

Can you not express yourself without being insulting ?

Since i was Knocked of a Motorbike by a speeding High power car that is tame. Well, I've had the same done to me by a slow Morris Minor. Bad drivers are bad drivers whatever they are driving, regardless of speed.
