Seeing the picture of an old Caramac bar in the 'Bargains' thread got me thinking we need a thread about your favourite retro chocolate bars and sweets ... I get quite nostalgic about some of those that are long gone. Here's one of my old favourites back in the day ... bit like a Milky Way ...

I was only saying to the Mrs the other days, packaging all the old Chocolate bars in 60's wrappers would boost sales..

Texans were nice but I didn’t risk them too often on my fillings! Anyone remember Cabana? I got into these for a while - they had these little pieces of cherry in them - was certainly different back then …

Anyone remember those mini size chocolate bars you used to get out the Vending machines on platforms when the Railways were British Rail? I think they were Nestle!

Although though I didnt like too much of the glacier type cherry inside, they were delicious and I was addicted. Had to have one everyday after school in the late 70's

The other two I've had many of IIRC the ad was a cartoon with Apaches going to kill a cowboy. His line was "you wouldn't fire a man until he finished his Texan bar would ya?" It took hm so long to chew that they all nodded off. The bar was a good chew too!
