Grateful thanks to Jandl. I have just listened to Rachmaniov's 1st Piano Concerto and it was very good indeed. Viktoria Postnikova on piano. Cat's Protection to receive another donation.  |

That's great, I'm glad you are enjoying the CDs I sent.
This was initiated in my hijack post in pjdown's CD swap thread where I suggested I could send interested parties a bunch of carefully selected classical CDs if they were interested in trying the genre. Payment going to the charity of the recipient's choice - in the current case animal charities. Which is absolutely fine by me!

Thanks to Jerry for the CD's he also sent me. I like all of them to varying degrees but am a real fan of 'Ivan Gavric - In The Mists' with is a Classical Piano piece and very enjoyable. A per agreement, I have sent a payment across to my chosen charity ( Cardiomyopathy UK). I chose this charity as I have Dilated Cardiomyopathy and want to help them as much as I can (we donate an amount on a monthly basis to them also). Thanks again Jerry for your generosity and for the great music! |

Give the ones you weren't so keen on a spin or 2 more - it can take a while for new music to take root, especially with a genre you are not that familiar with.
