How many people connect to a ring main for their system power,I use a 30 amp signal cooker cable from the consumer unit to a block of stainless steel front and back boxes, round pin heavy duty MK unfused plugs.which I think makes a big difference to my system .the block of sockets are from a well known shops power block that powers there mobile food freezers, they are linked together with 30 amp cable and have a stainless steel mounting plate with a separate earth spike to the stainless mounting plate of the block of sockets the only fuses in the line is in the c/unit and the iec (kettle)socket on the back of the amps and power supplies etc.the mains cables are all soldered to the three pin plugs, also I do not use any homepage for the Ethernet devices I.e streamers, satulite box,has box or network media tank,no net gear switches just singles rj45 cables to each network item.l found using home plugs and switches caused interference through the phono boards and stylus.every thing apart from the projector and the pio tv is plugged into the stainless steel bank of sockets also subwoofers and AV system are on a different mains cable.have I went to far lol.

Hi Naim, you have not gone too far at all mate, in fact you are sounding like you still have all your marbles, and there are still improvements you can make, but you are well on your way. Have I read correctly that instead of using a wireless router you have run an Ethernet cable directly into your device rather than wireless? If so did you notice a difference here? Thanks

Yes everything is wired from a gigabit sockets on a router my house is old and large so I used to got dropouts with wireless, also I'm experimenting with fire alarmed screened cable with protective layer in between sockets and pre and power amps in a arc am system not my main system just yet as it would take forever to replace all the iec leads
