Why do you have to have a present manufacture pair of headphones? However you would be better off here www.head-fi.org/f/

I haven't really kept up wii Sennheiser in recent years but they never did much for me. Shane of this parish recommended Grado SR80i to me and they were way better than anything else I'd heard. I'd saynhear some agrados alongside your fave Sennheisers before parting with cash. The Beresford should work with either choice.

The Lehmann has plenty of drive for them I also think Stans dedicated Headphone amp should be up for the task Also worth changing the cables on them

I have 650s and 700s and have used Stans Dacs for a few years.
The 650s work really well with the BM2, if anything I would say they are a sublime match sonically(try battery power and the upgrade chips) .
I moved from the BM2 (my son uses it)to the Caiman 2 and then added a Capella HPA. Bang for buck Stans stuff is outstanding. From what Ive read the 600s are more neutral than the 650s. (650s are warmer/darker- to use an americanism....i remove the inner foams which really helps imho)
My 650s are keepers the 700s just build on what they do using the same drivers. Senns are really great at just producing music/comfy/great physical cable isolation.
Headphones are a very personal thing regards sound signature and how they sit on your head comfort wise.

Yep, agree with Tony. I have 650's with foam removed and boutique cabling. Sound great through my Beresford Caiman II with GFU upgrade. Don't use phones often so this suits me and I'm sticking there.

I use HD600's with a Lehmann Linear and Klotz cables. This is a match made in heaven to my ears.
