A pair of things like that wouldn't half take some collecting. I'll give you a hand Colin, but baggsy me carrying the little end!

AER Horns £65k assumed they where about a 1/3rd of the cost based on sound quality & only good for acoustic music some other rooms did sound very good indeed . Vetere room was stunning using £18k PMCs MSB room was excellent for digital but they did use a £95k Dac £699 new Cryus1 int amp offered great sound with a £600 Project expression

Just goes to show how we perceive different things, those horns were on the same floor as ourselves I visited a number of times and they did have a decent number of people in the room. Personally the sound-stage was firmly between the horns, bass was lumpy and slow and it didn't seem to gell at all. No hardness or compression in any way, I wondered if they changed the amps to a different brand they may have had a much better result. Nice room branding to, again YMMV Toraj's room did sound much better on Sunday afternoon, lots of applause on a couple of occasions after they played Sade's smooth operator and Roxy Music. For the cost of the room (£220K)I really felt a better pair of speakers would have changed the sound for a decent one to a really great one YMMV of course However one of the best sounds at the show. It was nice to have a real London venue, they were a few niggles which for a first time show they (Unilet)did well and next year will only improve. So we have the start of something good here. On the first two days we observed the first 100 or so visitors were the hard core that always visit shows, however it was nice to see a great number of new faces. A big thank to all of the visitors to our three rooms and the comments, also to Wayne Hyde and Peter 'Silver Fox' and Ruben for all their assistance over the five days. One special thank you to Sunbeamgls one of the semi regulars here of TAS who's show report generated a great deal of interest in one of rooms which lead to some very healthy sales, next time you pop in to a show I will have a create of your favorite tipple for you in appreciation of report many thanks A promising show that will only grow

Vertere did use a massive pair of PMCs about 8feet high downstairs suppose the small PMCs they used suited a small room much better does show source 1st always the best £70k turntable , £135k FM amps & £18k PMCs he was going to bring FM Speakers but these are silly money £300-£500k

I thought the PMC room was horrid distorted digital crap. Now the Tesla car were much better but why is this Hi-fi I was pleased to catch up with the lads in the Naim room and as always I was made to feel most welcome. John Michell Engineering and John,s family as per normal hugged me and we chatted for a few hours. Uncle Max (Townsend) looks great and nearly broke my arm off, but he looks a little older but that mind is still alive. The Cabasse staff were kind a very friendly and had some interesting shaped speakers. The lads from TQ/Kog I am pleased to say never recognized me under my disguise and glister. I met up with Howard we had a nice chat over coffee and the we both had good chat with Kieron and a few giggles about past times. Got home very tiered and with a new hate of tube trains.

I missed this show altogether, although I wouldn't have been able to come anyway.
Colin, sorry I missed you the other day and we'll set that right the next time.
Tony, what were you showing this time?

Colin You must have followed the same exhibitor path as ourselves Steve from Michell was on good form, Max well just Max but everyone loves him for being well......Max Hadn't seen Christophe (Cabasse) for a while he was unusually subdued though, the Kog boys were on fine form to. The point of the car was simple the show needs to be more high end lifestyle (all forms) just making it an Audio show doesn't cut it these days (except for Bristol) Whittlebury any one? Your thoughts on the PMC room were very accurate, doesn't surprise me that Dali are taking a lot of sales from them here in the UK. Scott Toraj didn't need any bigger speakers for the room, just speakers further up the quality scale (imho) however that said it is the best I have actually heard any PMC speakers sound, so credit to him for that feat alone. He did produce one of the best sounds of the show Martin We ran three areas, a headphone/streamer/portable audio section in the Chablis suite with NuForce and NovaFidelity In Graves the new Oracle Origine turntable, Belles Aria, Quadral Chromium 8 and brand new Aurum 9 Galan's coupled to a NovaFidelity X40 streamer The Blaye room was sporting the new MK II TAD CD/Dac and M2500 MK II power amplifier CE-1 speakers and brand new NovaFidelity X50 digital transport. We chose Blaye as it made a nice intimate setting for seven people and worked very well. A long five days, however the Indulgence show has the makings of being a great show for a broad selection of people.
